Our Gable Pavilions is our in-house favorite
Main benefits of the Gable Pavilion:
* True Post and Beam architecture with cathedral ceiling and heavy braces
* Pressure treated glulam posts and beams wrapped in rustic western red cedar
* 8x8" posts. 10 pitch roof. Asphalt shingles included
* Fully customizible to any size rectangle or square
* This kit includes everything from base trim to ridge caps
* Solid cedar trusses and barge rafters.
Determine where you want the center of your posts. Measure from center to center in width and depth. Our pricing tool is based on standard sizes, mostly in two foot increments. If you want a 9x13, you can get that, but you end up paying for a 10x14. Consider height and sight lines. Remember, short pavilions give more shade directly under the pergola. Consider the time of day you will use your pavilion and the angle of the sun at that time. We may be of more design assistance if you take a few photos of your site and send them to us.
We have an online pricing tool you can use to configure your pavilion. When you are using the pricing tool, you will need to select your options such as: The width and depth, stain color and if you want a cupola.
The pricing tool will give you a price for the pergola, your electrical options and even a trucking quote. It’s easy to modify your pavilion until it is exactly what you desire. You can feel comfortable using this no dicker, always accurate pricing tool. We do reserve the right to adjust prices due to lumber costs without notice.
If the pavilion you desire cannot be built using our system, please enter the pavilion as close as possible then describe what you would like done differently in the notes section. You can also call our sales team during business hours (EST) at 800 344-5103 x 1 and they will do all of this for you.
When you are pleased with your pavilion and are ready to talk to one of our designers, click the “Submit information” button. Your data gets sent to us.
We review your pavilion choices and call you to answer any questions you might have. We suggest making changes that would either make your pavilion more useful or more beautiful, but we also look for ways to reduce the lead time and your cost.
When all of your concerns have been addressed and pricing established, a deposit gets the wheels rolling. Along the way you can request an elevation drawing of the front, back, or either side so you can see what pergola will look like. Based on this visual, you may request changes. We adjust your file and explain any changes in price. We also create another visual for your approval. When you are happy with the drawings you confirm every detail and we begin production.
During production you may get a call or email from the production team asking about your ceiling fan height or what color light switches you want. When the pergola kit is complete, we require final payment before shipping. If you are within 300 miles, we offer you our in-house, white glove delivery service.
If you are more than 300 miles from our factory, we use Yellow Freight as our over the road trucking company. In case of a freight company delivery, you will be responsible for physically removing the pergola or pavilion from the truck. Unless you have a forklift, this requires entering the truck, unpacking the structure and physically unloading it from the truck, member by member. You are also required to remove all the pallets and packaging from the truck. A freight forwarding service could be hired to preform this service for you, but that expense is typically $700 or more.
Customers who live within 100 miles of 06457 can choose our installation service. Baldwin Pergolas are designed to be very easy to put together, but there are still difficult aspects such as using a level to determine the lengths of the posts, cutting the posts to length, drilling the concrete and anchoring the mounting brackets. If this sounds like more then you want to do, we may be able to suggest experienced pergola installers in your area.

Chuck KrickMax, We couldn't be any happier with our new Baldwin pergola. We get a lot of jaw dropping when people see the project and they are drawn to the pergola. The service and quality you provided was outstanding. Our landscaper and his assistant did the construction of the pergola in only 4 hours. It's amazing the "warm" feel the structure provides even though it is so open. My wife and I sit out and chat for hours every night. Looking forward to ordering some Adirondack chairs soon. Regards, Chuck Krick
Duane DottaWe are extremely pleased. If there is any picture that I haven't taken and you need one a special way, Don't hesitate to call or write. Max made everything easy for us, make sure he sees these pictures.
Susan HallHey Max, I thought you would enjoy these. Feel free to use them. Anytime you have someone in the area that would like to see a pergola. I am happy to show them ours. Thanks so much it is absolutely beautiful!!! I just added it to HGTV. I am sending you a link so you can see. Enjoy!
Kevin ToomeyHi Max, The pavilion is looking excellent. We're really happy with our choice and your guys have worked very hard to get things just right. Thanks
Joe HollandThe Pergola is GREAT! What a difference it makes to the house ... inside and out. The height (for this sized Pergola) seems like it is matched up perfectly. The effect is a room outside the house. Let's see how many 'Wow's' we get Friday night. You should have left some of your business cards. My daughter (Sarah) loved the butterfly joint!
Troy GordonThe guys just left and the pergola looks great! Thanks so much! ... The guys were great and everything looks super!
James and Marlene HauflerI recently purchased a pergola kit from Baldwin Pergolas. It was a large custom pergola measuring about 16 by 36 feet. I am totally happy with the materials, workmanship, and customer support provided by Baldwin Pergolas. My wife and I were able to assemble the pergola over the course of a few days. (With a little help from two neighbors on the first day.) We found that everything fit together exactly as planned. Everyone who has seen the pergola, including our neighbors, and the building inspector (!), has been very impressed with the design of the pergola, the quality of the materials, and the precision of its construction. Their comments have included "beautiful", "amazing" and quite a few "wows" ! Our experience with Baldwin Pergolas has been completely positive. Their personal commitment to quality shows in everything they do. Thank you, James Haufler Sparks, Nevada
Joe and Pat PifkoYou are wonderful! The pergola is spectacular, and we are thrilled. We promise to send pictures of wedding guests enjoying our new "outside room." Thanks again.
Joe and Terry MitlyngI have been meaning to send you these pictures of our pergola, showing the Shade Tree awnings, for over a year now. The pictures were taken in September this year, about a year after the pergola was first assembled. My brother and I had just finished washing the pergola with Murphy Oil Soap, and it had that wonderful, like new, honey glow.
Steve FlintI set this up by myself in two days (using sawhorses to brace the uprights) and although I'm reasonably handy, I'm no carpenter! All in all it was an excellent experience and my hat's off to you for being able to construct and ship such a good kit. Even considering the shipping costs, there is no way we could have purchased lumber and paid people to construct something like this for the same money. We're considering doing another identical unit in the opposite corner of our courtyard. Well done. And good luck in this economy!
